Together with ReFocus Media Labs
We create a space - a platform - a safe place in Berlin.
In collaboration with ReFocus, a film and media school for refugees in Athens, we are organizing an event that explores aspects of integration. This project serves as a platform for exchange, inspiration, and integration, supporting the film and media school in building its stakeholder network in Berlin.
Who is ReFocus:
ReFOCUS is dedicated to developing a global network to equip asylum seekers and individuals with refugee experiences with modern media skills through a non-formal education approach. ReFOCUS Media Labs advocates for changing the reality of refugees and asylum seekers in Europe. They empower their students to tell their own stories, develop professional media skills, and pursue a career in the media industry.
Founders Sonia & Douglas aim to empower refugees and asylum seekers by imparting the craft of media production through ReFOCUS. This empowerment provides students with the opportunity to engage in their own storytelling and actively participate in media creation. In the second half of 2024, the two plan to open a school in Berlin. We are assisting them in making this vision a reality.
